Housed in a 15,000-square-foot downtown building, the El Paso Museum of History preserves area history from the arrival of the Spanish to the present. Exhibits include a bilingual, alphabetized celebration of El Paso and “The Changing Pass,” a time-line covering 400 years of the region’s history. It displays items such as blacksmithing tools, saddlemaking tools, glass bottles, and a large collection of 19th- and 20th-century clothing.
